Thanks, TDR Staff

Lest get lil' hot tonite

Lets see some truck pictures!!!!!

I would buy a new Touareg for the wife, IF I COULD ONLY GET THE V-10 TDI!!!!!! I've had a couple of beers, but I converted the SI numbers to 280 hp / 550 ft-lb (roughly:D ) .

V-10 TDI (deutch)

The German VW site offers the V-10 TDI in the Touareg, but the US site only offers a V-6 or V-8 gasser. :{ :{

Does any one know why we can't get the new TDI??

Last I had heard VW was gonna have a v10 diesel. I can only bet emissions has something to do with it. Thanks to our anti diesel government. :mad:

As far as I know, it's still coming early in 2004:

"Finally in the first quarter of 2004 Volkswagen will put their top of the line twin-turbo 5. 0L V-10 TDI-PD engine with 313hp and 553 lb-ft. of torque into North American Touareg models. This engine will be mated to an all-new six-speed tiptronic specially developed to handle high torque loads. Volkswagen claims a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 7. 8 seconds and a combined fuel consumption figure of 24 mpg. While Volkswagen isn't talking about pricing at this time, we expect pricing to be around $51,000 well equipped. "

That price is the only reason I'm probably going to get a CTD instead of a v10 touareg. I dont need QUITE so large of a vehicle as a ram, the Touareg would be a better size, despite it's wimpy appearance. A v10 TDI would sure be sweet. I can't imagine how awesome that much power in such a little vehicle would feel. Also the modding potential of a v10 has got to be pretty good!
