Am I the only person that thinks it looks absolutely stupid that our front hubs stick out so far???

Can anything be done about it?

put some 9. 75" wide wheels on them, then they look right. Seriously though, they are all like that. Even the 60F in my wifes chevvy is like that. They have to be that deep to get the spindle, bearings, nuts and lockouts all in the hub. When you take it a part there is not any wasted space. Just put some mag wheels on it or some wider wheels then they look ok.

Well....

Personally, I kind of like 'em. The're a dying breed. The kind of engineering that followed the logic of, " You want it tougher, make it bigger!" Or, "... add more iron!" The're kind of like the chariots of Roman lore. Where the hubs were large and menacing; designed to chew up the spokes within the wheels of opposing chariots.

My advice is drive the old girl with pride. Ben Hur would be proud. :D

Or, if you're runnin' the big Dual-Matic hubs, you can swap 'em out for some Warns and cut off 1/2-3/4 of an inch. :p

Just my $. 02
