Just curious. I allowed multiple choices, although my "gut" told me to only allow 1 choice.

Notice I said "why do you OWN your truck", not "why did you BUY your truck"... requirements frequently change as time goes on, and I'm curious why you own the truck TODAY, rather than the reason you went to the dealer in the 1st place. :)

Back and forth to work most of the time but is tows the 5er with no problems and even gets better fuel milage the my old Cheby gasser.

I got it for the same reason, plus the fact at the time I drove tractor trailers for a living and just loved it and needed one and had to have it.

But then I found this web site and you guys are getting me in all kinds of trouble with mods and BOMBs, because now I'm building the truck to pull sleds now :d  I need to get another job so I can get all the stuff I need and want. Thanks guys:eek: :--) :D  Oo.

owell its all good.

MIKE

ALL of the above.

Which the truck would do Pre-BOMB. Now it just does it BETTER.

Everything I do with a motor vehicle, I do with my truck(s). The 4x4 expands the off-road season (firewood, farming, hunting, fishing, sled-pulling).

Does everything 14x better than the old gasser---especially fuel consumption.

Aside from all the good choiced alloted in the poll, I bought mine also because of how SHARP it looks! Dodge set the new standard for others to follow IMO when they relased the second generation style. It took a few steps back with the recent intoduction of the lastest style. Don't want to offend 'yall out there in 3G land, but I do not care for it all that much. A good part of why I bought an 01 was because of the 03's and up.

I use mine for work every day and towing our 5th wheel at every opportunity. Primary reason is for the 5th wheel. Otherwise a 1500 or Dakota would suffice for work.

I primarily use my truck for commuting also, although I do tow a travel trailer. I 'own' the truck cause I like the mileage, the power, reliability and of course..... the TDR ;)

i voted on 2 options:

1: Leisure: primarily a commuter vehicle [i picked the options not listed here for that one]

2: Performance: speed (drag racing, street racing, etc)

Looking to the future of getting a larger fifth wheel RV. Use truck as a daily commuter, but wanted the power, and longevity reliability that comes with the Cummins reputation. Hoping it will last a long time according to the wife's input. In fact it was her idea " sell the Chevy and go get the Dodge CTD like you wanted in the first place". Oo. I have not regretted it so far.

Well I allways had a truck, and wanted one with a diesel, and what better diesel then the Cummins? I do use it to pull our gooseneck, but that only happens about twice a year. I seem to have gone the way of test pilot vehicle, I have added so many things, and then took some of those off and add others, why? I guess to keep me busy.

Mine is for a daily driver... . 5 days a week the bed is empty. Gets some load for the weekend trip to the boat, but I don't need a 3/4 ton diesel truck for that..... oh wait a minute... yes I do!!:D :D

And I like the performance... . and comraderie..... those are the bonuses I didn't expect.

I got mine as a fuel efficient replacement for my '96 v-10. As a bonus, I quit my "job" and am working more for myself, hauling RV's. Best bonus possible. All the "goodies" are just frosting on the big, happy cake. -Eric:)

My old one served me so well that when we got hit and thought it was totalled, I had it towed to the dealer so I could shop for a new one. (We wanted one with a backseat anyway) Now I have the old one for the dirty work, and the new one for road trips, towing my boats, etc. (also my daily driver)

I drive diesel vehicles.

It has a Cummins in it.

The 12V Cummins is the best full size truck choice for running Biodiesel.

It could pull a house. :)
