In the gasser world, there are many mechanical lift pumps and some claim to support up to 2000hp. There is a mechanical pump in back of the NHRA National Dragster that is about $300 and supports high HP.
My question is, why doesn't someone just redo the 12 valve lift pump to flow more fuel, or design a new one to go in the same spot????
I would think that would be better than a belt driven pump or depending on electronics.
