I was trying to get some 2nd genners to comment since I was getting bashed since some of you feel I am bashing your precious baby

You make a post in the 3rd Gen Forum about "Why you don't want a 3rd Gen" and expect 2nd genners to pipe up

I found your post offensive for the most part and detrimental like most here stated. We all are defending our decision and obviously don't care why you don't want a 3rd Gen truck. In the future I would recommend showing a little respect for you fellow TDR members.

I am not the first person in this debate to say this, but I own a 2nd gen, wish i had a first gen and i am saving $$$ until i can afford a 3rd gen. I am not as loyal to dodge as i am to cummins. in my OPINION, what ever the Cummins engineers come up with seems to be the most heavy duty in our class. i agree, this conversation/debate has become to personal and i wish people would act in the forums the same way TDR people act face to face.

I did feel that this everyone here was a good person but that opinion changed. I would not want to meet half of you now, I'd rather be in my garage playing with my toys or spending time with real friends. See thats what I thought this forum was, real people real friends that come together becuase of one thing: Dodge Diesel Trucks. Guess I was wrong, it is very sad. I do thank a few of the people who did chime in and didn't bash me for no reason, even if your opinion differed, thats okay, atleast you were mature about it... Thanks again!

I'm with you... I don't want a 3rd gen, either. But I'm not about to come to THEIR section of this web site and specifically list things that are "wrong" with them. I think what you said has it's place... just not in this forum. Just for sake of example, would you be offended if a first genner posted in the 2nd gen forum what a p. o. s. all 2nd gens are? I would be and I'd tear him a new one for saying so. But that's just because I own one and I take GREAT pride in that fact. Everybody loves their baby, and are gonna get their toes stepped on when you tell them that it's not the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Another pro to the first/second gen w/12v engine... . If the **** ever hits the fan, and in a case of nuclear fallout when electronics fail to function, this truck will continue to run without a problem... all 24v and 3rd gens will be parked... .

Sounds like a good place to be, when you get a few more years of experience and learn how not to be a butthole, come on back.
