Why the Smoke

I pulled up to a stop light tonight next to a 2nd gen. I'm pulling my 20' cargo, and he wants to go. Knowing I'm not going to take him, I let him go. He insisted on blowing smoke on me every chance he got. Where is the CTD Brotherhood in that???

It seems some guys with alot of smoke have no manners.



I only dmoke out mexicaln roadblocks, people who cut me off, and people who literally ask me too. Except for those exceptions, I have spent several thousand dollars over what is nessasary to get to 515rwhp with a truck that does not smoke when driven mildly aggressive.

I see you have a few Banks goodies listed in your sig. D you have a Banks sticker on the rear window and did he have a chance to see it? If so, he was probably smoking the Banks, not you.

I get that all the time... mainly they rev it up so I can "hear" their exhaust... which is primarily all anyone does around here... all I can think is "yep, I have one of those too... dumb-dumb... " I don't understand why you need to rev it up, or pass me and stand on it... are you trying to impress somebody??



The only smoking I got treated to, I immeadiately returned the favor as I drove past him (with no smoke from my stock truck)... him smoking and all... some people don't realize that smoke doesn't mean power... it was 2nd gen.



There is very little CTD comraderie in this area... I actually get more BSing done with PowerStroke owners than dodge owners...

I have no badging on the truck, all he saw was the gauges on the A-pillar. I was also on his passenger side, so he coundn't even see the exhaust. Scott

I can understand a little puff puff from a fellow Dodge owner, but not a fogging. If I want to play with someone, I get on it for a second, and then quit. If they speed up, that means that they want to play. just my opinion

I used to smoke people that ticked me off when I had the means to and my wife hated it when I did it. Then one day we were behind one of the ATS guys that has a 2nd Gen and we got stuck at a light and when that light turn green I got the smoke'n I have never seen before and of course my wife laughed her *** of and said how did you manage to **** him off? I just bit my tongue on that one.

How about when they want to race and all their window are down. I don't know how many times I've had one of those guys pull up on my exhaust side wanting to run. They pretty much let off immediatly when you blow smoke through their car. I've watched the ploom fo smoke go in the drivers window, fill the car and come out the passenger side window. Yea, it's mean. But they're the ones that wanted to race. Hey they got to learn to pull up on the left.

That's hilarious. BTW, that photo in your gallery with your boat... errr... ship, looks photoshopped because the boat is so darn long! Sweet. I've got a photo in my gallery (the '93) of the "8" car.

Why the smoke?

Why the smoke, indeed? Every time I see a large or small truck belch a huge amount of smoke, I think to myself, "It's no wonder people hate diesels". Everyone knows that diesels are filthy, right? Is it not surprising that, though diesel vehicles are the norm in Europe, they barely have a foot hold in this country. Just think where we'd be if GM hadn't produced such a crappy diesel engine and folks didn't have to see displays of trucks and buses making large quantities of smoke.



What I'm trying to say is, if you believe in diesel power and want to see more diesel vehicles in this country (and possibly cheaper fuel), remember, you're an "ambassador for diesel". Every time you blow smoke into someone's face, you've alienated another potential supporter for diesel and reinforced the view that diesel truck drivers are a bunch of in-bred hicks.
