The grid heater preheats the air in the manifold so the engine will start up correctly and not produce white smoke at start up.
Im going into production with one that uses the stock grid and ANY manifold top avail. It is a more advanced design and can handle 200+psi. It can also be optioned with a water/meth or NOS spraybar. No machining necessary, bolt-n-go. Will be avail. in Feb. and is less than half the cost of the wilson.
I will see Wilson in court if they try to do another knock-off!
What exactly are you making (a manifold, plate or)?
Already made. Plate, it replaces factory plate ONLY and comes with high quality re-usable plate/grid gaskets. You can keep the grid or delete and upper plenum you already have. I'm getting dyno time on it now and it is already being run on a 650+HP truck and shows improved spool/cooling and more even EGTs between cylinders. Without any further delays it should be available mid-Feb.![]()
