The switch on my driver's door that controls the passenger front window quit working a few days ago. The window works from the passenger switch, so I am sure it is the switch in my door.

I popped the module out of the arm-rest, but couldn't find any loose wires. Is it worth taking the module itself apart? Can the individual switch be replaced or do I have to replace the entire module?

I tried contact cleaner spray, but that didn't do any good.

Thanks for any ideas.

Here is a thread on the subject. Someone had soldered a jumper wire acress on the circuit board that enabled the window to work, but would not allow windows to be locked out. I did the same on my 03 and it worked. Can't really remember exactly where to solder the wires though. Have sold the truck so can't go back and take a look.

From what I understand you can find the module from online dodge parts sources for about $90 and they are about $130 from the local dealer. Good luck.

It may be worth the time to take the switches apart. I had a Mustang where the contacts were a little burned. Cleaned them with sandpaper and they worked for a few more years.

Thanks guys. I guess I will tear into it a little farther when I get a chance. I think I will try replacing just the switch first. Another forum pointed me to Rockauto. I may order one of the switches just to have on hand.

Thanks again

You may want to check the wire harness from the chassis to the door harness. I have replaced both my rear chassis to door harnesses after the insulation gets hard and cracks the wires.

Hi guys have 05 left rear window will go down with switch but not back up. will not work with driver controls any ideas. Thanks.
