Winter fronts

I recieved a Lund winter front for my 1st Gen Cummins last winter, but have been hesitent about installing it. The reason being restricted airflow to the transmission cooler and the intercooler. Should I be concernd?

I used my Lund winter front grill inserts last winter, no problems I might take them out if I was towing in the mountians.
