Wiper switch issues

My wiper switch has a mind of it's own. Sometimes works fine, sometimes doesn't work until I go past the delay to low speed, sometimes wipes twice on low speed delay. It appears that this is a common problem. I tried to order a new one and it is on factory backorder with a revised part number. Truck is an 04. 5 3500. Anybody have any info on getting the part?

I'm looking at the same repair---wipers work fine but turn signals are a bad joke, All go through the same multifunction switch (please correct me if I'm wrong). Have extended warranty with $100 deductible, sounds like do-it yourself for $70, if you can get the part. Hopefully there's a wait because DC's releasing the non-P. O. S version of this part. Any tips on replacing this would be appreciated! (now that I think of it, wipers are probably fine because I live in the desert... . )

My blinkers had issues and I had to replace the smart swtich. It appears it's another quality part from chrysler. No wonder they tanked. At least is was an easy install.
