2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Wire Taped Back

Yesterday I was changing oil and working on the water drain valve on the fuel filter and saw this black wire taped back(marked with red line) on the wire harness under the anti lock brake module. I appears to have never been connected and I am wondering what it is for, it is not a very heavy gauge wire. Maybe a 14 or 16. I bought the truck new and put a brake controller in it at the time with the blue pigtail that came with the truck. Snoking

Good job Bill, I tried to find that thread at break time. I knew that it was on here somewhere.

I searched under 2nd gen non engine / transmission instead of the 24 valve section.

mine has always been sitting there too. recently was doing some wiring in the area and decided to ground it, just to quit seeing it there unconnected!
