It's time for me to get a scan toll, OBDII. What is the best all around unit, without spending big $$.

running alex pepper obd-2 on my laptop , does lots of things including reading and erasing codes. do a search on obd-2 you will find lots of reading.

I'm not in the market for something that pricey,just looking for one that will bring up codes & turn off CEL





Anyone know anything about Actron hand-held units? I was looking at model# CP9135.



Are these little units a waste of money? ( Iknow this will not work to current)

I just picked up an Actron at Sears for $149. +, don't remember the model number but it enabled me to read and clear the codes on my 98. 5. Hope this helps.

My neighbor and fellow TDR member just went in on a Actron Pocket Scanner#9125. Reads and erases all 1996 and up OBD11 codes and comes complete with software for installing codes in your computer. Cost: $69. 00+tax at Kragen here in San Diego. A bargain!
