Mundgyver - sorry - I wanted to, but promised my grandson we were going fishing! He's only 3 1/2, but he's a fishing fool.

:D You lucky dog you:D To have your grandson invite you to go fishing. Now that beats a drag stip any day of the week. :) Enjoy, and I hope he's able to teach an old dog new tricks for fishing. Enjoy. :D :D -Wally-

:) Well I took the wife down on Saturday and we set and watched. There were some impressive gassers out there. Quickest on was around 136mph. I forget the time. I did see some diesels. There was a couple of Dodges and Chevys. Don't recall any Fords. There was one Dodge set up with a Banks system. He hit about 76 mph. I would have like to run my truck to compare times. I think my mods would be more than sufficient. But if I'm going to run the truck at the track then I want to upgrade my clutch first. I've stated in past threads that I don't hammer the clutch, but when your in a race, it's best to have top line equipment to begin with. Besides I want to see if my stock clutch will make 100,000. I was very impressed with an orange colored Cummins powered modified big rig that was putting in right at the 100 mph mark. There were a couple of modified for drag only big rigs. There was also a college there that had a Diesel dragster that lookes kind of like Don Garlets, only 3 times the length. Twin turbos. First run was a big dissapointment. They had the fuel turned too far up and was blowing black and white smoke and only his 74mph I think. Next run they came back and cut the fuel a bit with the pump and walked it up to just under 100. I was also very suprised at the number of regular old working Semi Trucks that were there to play. Most of them were hitting in the 60 to 70 range. I don't have a camera so no pic's:( Sorry guys. All in all it was a pleasant day and date with the wife.
