Well, what I was doing was doing the "search new inventory" page. You put in your zip code, or any zip code and it gives you all the dealers within about a 200 mile range. When I search the new inventories of these dealers, I can view the window stickers of every truck. Every truck starts out as a 4. 10 engine, but is counter manded by optional equipment such as when a dealer orders it with a 3. 73 rear end.
This is why I made the statement about not being able to find a 6. 7 auto with a 4. 10 rear end. I did find a couple in Arizona, but I won't be in that area until November. They will probably be long gone by then. I intend to test drive a standard transmission truck from my area this week so I can see if I can live with it or not.
I have been told by Dave Smith Motors in Idaho that whatever truck I want can be ordered. It would take 6 to 8 weeks.
