It would look better in inferno red, but I don't have a problem with the new look. Pictures absolutely don't do it any justice, you have to see one in person, especially lined up beside a 05. I'll give you that there different, but not too radically different.

I think it looks ok but i don't like the headlights. And your right, its almost as though they are trying to follow in chevys footsteps. If i had a choice between my 05 and the 06 i will stick with mine. I'm very happy i got mine when i did. I've seen them in person and i'm not to fond of the way they have there dash set up now. But thats just my opinion.

It's good that Dodge made the roof lights optional. It's just too bad they took away the good cup holders, and made the Cummins decal look totally out of place. It one step forward and two steps back. I think there are going to be a lot of people debadgeing their trucks. I know I would.



As far as the new styling I think it will grow on me.

Headlights just don't show design intergration. Looks like someone carved an opening in the fender with a sawsall and stuffed them in.

I know I'm biased... but I don't see the Chevy relation. If anything it just looks like the new Dakota, and I never heard anyone say the Dakota's looked like Chevy's.







No one likes change but me... went from an '02 to an '03 to an '04 to an '06. I admit the front is different, but I like it just the same. One thing I can say that the '06 has going for it is it's a ton quieter than my previous 3rd Gens. Dodge said they improved the sound on the '06... they weren't lyin'.

I give a big thumbs down to this one!! They killed the Durango and now the Ram (looks more like a midsize)!! It took me a while to get used to the 2nd gens, but I can't see this one growing on me any time soon. Thank god I bought an '05!

I guess I'll be the first one to say it. I think that the cloth seats are some of the cheapest looking seats to date. I liked my Agate seats in my '99 Ram even over my cloth seats in my '03 that is until I did the Katzkin seats. They look a lot better than any thing I've ever had.

I agree with you there Silver on the seats. Rode in an '06 1500 on Thursday, man o man, the seats were terrible I thought. Then I sat in a 300 and a Charger today in leather and they had the same feel. SLIGHT amount of cushioning in the derriere part and no give whatsoever in the back area. Might as well have been molded out of HDPE or fiberglass for the back rest.



Don't get me wrong, the leather trim and covers were great, but I love some cush in the seats. Thats the best thing about the Tahoes that my Aunt and Uncle have had, the Seats, very comfortable and plush. After riding in the '06 and then getting back in my Dakota, it was like sitting on a feather bed... :-laf
