I just noticed this on Chryslers website. It’s dated 5/1/24, so only 5 months out. I searched and did not see anything.

That information was covered extensively in this thread:

There must have been no mention of XQ1 or the search box of this forum sucks. I always do a search before I post things.
I was just trying to contribute to the group and hopefully put some $$$ back in some peoples pocket. I’m happy as sh@t that I learned about it as I have a $2500 claim just sent in for the DEF pump that crapped out late last year.

The neighbors brother had a failure before the warranty extension. They denied it because the failure was before the warranty extension was announced.

Seriously, I’d have to fight that one if they did that. Heck I would actually take them to court over it. As long as the date was in time and the millage was under, you’re good to go. They have back people before.

They'll deny that claim, as the new mileage only applies if you have had the 67A recall preformed! I also had a DEF pump go out last year and was denied! Now after I had the 67A done, they replaced SCR and down stream NOX due to software issues.( software was looking for certain levels and components went giving what they wanted) You can try the courts, but it's clearly stated that the ex-warranty applies only after the 67A recall being preformed.

I'd wait till the port strike is over to get the 67A done, took 33 days for my truck to get fixed when limp mode happened after 67A. SCR wasn't available, and who knows now with the strike where those cans are sitting!

The search box works when you input the proper info. If you had searched 67A, plenty of hits!

I think I even wrote a post about 67A update, flash. This is an extension of the emission's warranty XQ1. When you look at Mopar’s site, it even lists them separately. If you can’t understand that 67A and XQ1 are two different things, I can’t help you. If they were they same it would all be called 67A or XQ1.
It’s not worth the aggravation, grief and **** that’s being shoveled for trying to save people money. I think when I get my reimbursement, I’ll just post a picture of the check and say thanks Mopar, with nothing else. As apparently this is VERY well known and has been discussed so no explanation will be needed.
I’ll just be a silent member of the forum.

The two are related. One is the recall number and the other is the associated warranty extension.

The warranty extension is not covered until the recall is complete. This is for my truck that has not had it completed.

I think you need to check your glasses! It clearly states in the letter that you provided, that the extension is only valid after the completion of VB6 or 67A!

@Cummins12V98, If you were to get the 67A recall done, and then your DEF pump or other component on the list for 67A failed within the time frame or mileage allowed, they would replace the component. I look at it as a little extra insurance as our trucks are older! Still your choice if your local area doesn't require it for emissions.

I had my recall done Thursday. The technician said don't be surprised if it throws a sensor or SCR CAT code. But at least it is covered now. I had to complete it to get it registered in November. And the state is also requiring another smog check, the fourth one in six years. They are really trying to catch the cheaters.
