Y2K 3500 Side Moldings

I know that several TDR members have completed the side moldings (from the front of the bed back) on their 3500's using various methods.

I've sent email to Geno's requesting they put together a 'kit' to complete our trucks.

Maybe if enough people wanted a kit, Geno's would put together something for us. .

What do y'all think?

Unfortunately, I have already "finished building" my Y2K with '99 parts that DC left off. (DC must have got the idea from F**d) I made a deal on the moldings with my dealer when I ordered the truck.

Yep, if would be helpful to have kits available from Geno's. The "dually" kits would be different from the 3/4 tons. The 2001. 5 guys might like the black molding for their tailgates too.

DC really is cheap... I sold my 98 3500 which had full moldings and METAL trim pieces. I get my '01 and is half-naked and has plastic trim pieces. arghhh

While I'm at it... . what IDIOT decided to discontinue the overhead cubby-hole and replace it with a garage door opener holder. My truck wouldn't fit in the garage if it was riding on the rotors.

Most pieces have a left/right so lay them out before you stick them on.

DC is in a transition period for the new body style. They probably only contracted with the moulding supplier for parts inventory only and not production models. I added the front bed mouldings on my 01.

I purchased them for the front part of the bed on my 2001. 5 2500 Quad-acb. Can anyone provide tips for installation? Particularly tips that would help keep them straight.
