"... Bob, Not a challenge, although I will dyno against all ve44 1st gen'ers or race, #2 only ... "
Exactly what I thought you meant
Mark, I know what you mean about the 'brothers uncle's sister's husbands' thing. Just put it on the rollers, or on the track, either will do... .
You don't walk away from any competition, that's your style...
I'd be willing to be "impartial witness" to your dyno runs with the new nozzles, which by the way, I can also attest to, from independant information... . somewhat detailed information at that too. Assuming that is ok with the guys here. .
I don't think there are too many who can meet/exceed what you've done on your truck by youself.
If anyone is not sure, I'd stand up and confirm that Mark has "done his own work"... Yes, he has gotten advice, like all of us, me included, but he's done his own R&D tweaking on his pump. He has teased more fuel out of that poor VE than most of us are willing to chance... Proof... . look at his dyno sheets, and his track times, period. Besides, Mark is what used to be called "standup". .

like most of the guys in this forum now that I think about it...
I have had timing done by someone else, but that's it for me too. Next time, I'll do that myself.
For the new guys in here, you should know that it is possible to have YOUR truck get close to 300 RWHP with the bare basics.
One look at marks numbers as well as a couple others eg: hdm48 (dave), and others who are up front.
Now, you will need to throw in some nozzles to help the pump out a bit, but other than that, your truck can do it. I've been spitting distance from there myself, with only what you see in my sig. With the proper setup it is usuable as a daily driver, otherwise you'll have some nasty EGT's and smoke (been there done that).
The stick boys have it a bit easier since they don't have to worry about as much line lose though. On the other hand they need to worry about the transmission itself.
Let me know when you want to do the run mark, I'll be there, or ride out with you... hmmmm well... ... ummmm... I better look up my life insurance coverage first... .
FWIW guys, I don't mind telling you all that most if not all of this is being done on YOUR behalf..... just keep in mind who is working (in a very limited market btw) to help out us 1st Genner's.
Lets face it, each day sees less and less 1st Gen trucks on the road, and R&D AIN'T CHEAP!!! especially when it's limited and ever diminishing market.
The end result will be components that will have been tried and tested, and proven to work on our trucks. Gotta luv it !!
All it took was a couple conversations, a few comments, and suggestions and there you have it. . no hesitation.
Now, lets see, I know I had that policy around here somewere... .
BTW, good luck on the Christmas Draw coming up soon.....
Bob.
