Yeah, thanks for the post. I was so impressed I went and ordered a set of silver stripes to dress up my all-white truck. I'll post a pic when I get the nerve to put them on the truck.
Yah, It's funny you mention that Super Ram stripe , with my muscle car background I am debating between the SR and Cummin stripe and I have decided on BLACK. Just not sure which one . The price for the stripe kit is Oo.
Is the term APE wrap only for that company, or is it for the type of material used for the graphics? Looks great.
Here's an update on my ordered decal. It's costing me $10 more for the extra work but I really don't care, I love it. Paul has to spend some extra time to weave the tread pattern in the inside stripe. The tread pattern will be my paint showing through. Yeah, I know, it's just a dumb sticker, but I like mocking the Rumble Bees.
In the truck world everyone knows what a cumminz is. I have lots of folks pull up beside my truck and say "hey man that truck got a Hemi?" Dodge has done a great job blowing the Hemi up to the public they have almost forgotten how to really push the Cumminz. Decal looks great!
I need to get off my ***** and decide betwwen the Super Ram and Cummins decal.
The sun should warm it up and soffen it up to get rid of the bubbles, some times you have to help them along with a sewing needle. Did you use soapy water when you put them on?
BTW, a friend of mine just bought a new 05' with the chrome steel wheels and is looking for a set of the stock aluminum ones if you still have your old ones and want to sell them.
Thanks Keith, I stuck the first one on dry, cleaned it really good, wiped down with alcohol and followed the instuctions. The compound radii in the bed flares made the decal wrinkle but the bubblbes were easy to fix, as you said, a pin and plastic squeegy rubbed them out.
The second side for the top half I lightly misted some soapy water. That screwed everything up. The decal had a hard time sticking to the paint and a hard time coming off the backer.
Since I do like the look I may just have another made and have a local graphics guy put it on. I'd like to look as if it was a factory option.
Today my mailman came by, looked at my truck for a second, looked at me and asked, "Does it have a Hemi?"
I had to check that he gave me my mail and not my neighbors.
Here is another example of a Cummins decal designed by my Dodge dealer. This decal is available at reasonable cost (without the dealer name "by Glassford") from a London Ontario graphics firm. Drop me a line by email for information if you wish.
Any one that has added the stripe on the side of the bedside, do any of you have an "over the rail" rhino, or Line-X bedliner that this decal will conflict with?? How does the decal transition into the liner? Is there a body line where the stripe ends, or does it continue around the "roll" of the bed.
The reason I am asking, is that I love the stripe that mimics the Rumble B stripe, but I have an "over the rail" rhino liner in my new ride.
Thanks for the help!!! I hope to join the club with the stripe sometime soon!!!
Have any members seen these decals available from MOPAR ?
