New Wheels

Nick,

I have American Racing Pythons 17X8 w/ 315/70/17. Check pics on my reader's rigs. They don't stick out too much, maybe an 1" to an 1. 5". Fender flares might be next...

I have chrome centerlines, but they stick out a couple inches. I have flares to cover them. If you want welds with the proper setback, look at the middle of this page. http://www.trexengineering.com/products.htm

Id like to see how much he plans on charging. Im guessing there gonna be VERY expensive considering he went threw all the trouble to get those done. IMO id rather go with a wheel that sticks out an inch or so than lets say drop 150 buck more per wheel because it was custom made/ordered...

X, check out my wife's 04 signature line and the pics. These are awesome wheels and stick out about an inch.

I know Boyd Coddington wheels will specially make them for you but for $240 a wheel. Not worth it.

Nick -

I know they are 17 inch but what the other dimension is, I don't know. When I get home, I'll look it up on the order sheet and post. I can't tell you how many comments she gets on those rims. All age groups, all backgrounds, man everybody loves them!

She's got 285's on there now, but we did try a 315 and it fit perfectly on there too.

I just purchased these from eagle wheels. #ad

They are 18X9. 5 with a +22 offset = 6" BS. Hard to find ones that won't stick out far. Most have 4 5/8 BS and with a 10" wide wheel it will stick out.

BIGQ,

Do you have those wheels on yet? Those seemed like they would be a good fit, let us know how they worked out and what tires you went with.

Greg Boardman is absolutely correct, the Weld wheels on T-Rex engineering are the ONLY wheels I've been able to locate that are the correct offset. Only exception is Rickson's wheels and their aluminum wheels that are coming out sometime for the 2000+ Rams (2000 was the year Dodge started with the extreme offset). Boyd Coddington and a few others get pretty close but still come short by about 1/2" which would be acceptible if you are running flares (not acceptible to me though).

Kent worked his rear off and pestered Weld until they finally committed.
