Can I possibly receive feedback on the subject engine coolant for use in a 12 Valve Cummins?
ThanksI just use the BASIC green stuff from NAPA or Carquest and add distilled water.
Sounds good. Just wondered if it would work as well in hot weather and climbing grade with 10K trailer in tow.If you are doing a flush I would use a more modern coolant like you suggested. G05 is backwards compatible to your 12 valve, the benefits of course are longer service intervals. I ran Peak Global Lifetime for many years in my 98. At the time it was the only silicate free/phosphate free non 2EH "universal" coolant on the market.
But the G05 is definitely good coolant and even better if it helps cut back on inventory if you use it in other vehicles.
