Anyone heard what the incentives will be on the 03's after August 1? What do you think about buying an 03 when the 04's are just around the corner? thanks, Doc

I'm interested to see what the new incentives will be. Hopefully they will be as good or better than current. Hopefully there are some at all! I'm strongly considering buying an '03. I've found a few dealers that are willing to sell for invoice price MINUS rebates, i. e invoice -2500 cash at the moment. hard to pass up such cheap deals.

rebates

Bought my 03 2500td HO, auto, 2wd, qc, sport/leather, etc. in

late june! List $37700; dealer discounted $5200 + $300 business owner rebate. Went for 2. 9% financing in lieu of rebate for 60 mo. Net Sale at $32200. Very happy with this!! Dealer still makes $ on rollback from factory. Traded my 9 mo old Hemi QC laramie (GAS HOG!!!), and got the allowance I wanted!! Dealer Happy; I'm Happy!! Also with low interest I saved $70 a month without increasing my length of payments. Also saving $100 a month on fuel costs. One hell of a deal!!

Guzzi, what was your empty fuel economy with the Hemi?

Was it a 2500 2wd also?

Just curious what kind of fuel economy the Hemi's get.

thanks

03 rebates

Bought my '03 3500 Laramie the end of June. Sticker 46K. Sale price was 500 over invoice minus 2500 rebate, minus 1000 certificate from DC and minus 750 prior military service rebate. They allowed 22K trade in on my '01 2500 62K mi and nearly 3 years old. Considering the advantages of the '03 I think it was a good deal. . :D My only big concern is with the 48RE not being compatable with an exhaust brake.

A dealer here in PA also offered to order me an 04 for $500 over invoice minus rebates. Who knows what rebates will be for the 04's.

41145 list, invoice 36774, out the door for 32334 +TTL

2500 rebate, +500 regional + 500 small business, + 1000 certificate

That was on June 27.

Was it worth it to order a 03 the last day for orders ( 5- 23 ) , paid for it June, 27, delivered 22, July. Yes is the answer for me.

03 or 04 depends on what you want.

For me the 4k less than a 04 at invoice and a guarenteed no EGR made the difference.

scbroder! The Hemi was a 2WD, QC, Auto, Laramie. Drove it 15000 miles; I keep accurate fuel records for business. The averages were 11. 2 overall for the 15K miles. Towing my 16' Pace closed trailer on the Interstate(70-75 mph) for several trips of 2-3000 miles it would average 7. 7 to 8. 4! In town driving, 9-10. 5! Highway unloaded, 11. 5-12. 5! My previous 2 V10's done better!! Great truck; just decided the mileage suck'd. Should have gone to the Diesel years ago!! Have put 6000 miles on the new 03 HOTD so far, and "LOVE" the performance and mileage. Town driving so far shows 15. 5+ mpg and on the road unloaded (75-78 mph) shows 18+. These are accurate corrected figures, not from the computer (which shows about 1mpg low).
