Thanks, TDR Staff

Good-bye EcoDiesel, Hello Cummins

in the early 90's my employer participated in a emissions project and we had 5 machines equipped with a Donaldson Particulate Trap as the dpf was called thenm.
Donadson Trap used 2 DPF's with electric coils to cook off the soot.. so it isn't a new idea...

There are also DPFs that use microwave/RF technology to burn off the soot too. I wonder which way they are really going to go.

I certainly don't want to be the guinea pig.

One thing about the 7.2l, if there will be such an animal, I hope it ends up in buses, vocational trucks, etc prior to us getting it. Those vehicles get beat up real hard and that is better than any lab testing.

Just noticed this today on the Stellantis Body Builders site: https://www.converters-and-stellantis.com/signin

FWIW, just heard from my sales buddy at the dealership that the 2025's are slated for delivery to dealers in late February/early March. More time to save some pennies!

Very good!

I plan on test driving some next year when the weather is back to sunny and 70F.

Will be watching folks' experiences on these forums quite a bit before potentially settling into one in mid to end of 2026.

I'll be waiting for the info and to see one 'live'!

Me too. I have been studying the order guides (very complicated) so maybe I can understand the actual build site when it becomes active.

It appears they have gone up in price about $7k since my '21 and the Big Horn is another $6-7k, jeez. I want a Big Horn this time. I want the electric seats, alloy wheels and fog lights. I think if I stay pretty basic they come with the 8.4" screen. I don't want the 12 or 14". I think the level one is about right, plus some options. Tow package, spray in bed liner, skid plate, Mopar floor mats and lotsa chrome:D

Pushing $75k:(

the key to wealth is not EZ credit and having the latest automotive stuff, so I'm going to live vicariously thru all of you guys that intend to buy a new truck because it has 2 extra gears.. LOL.. I paid 48k out the door for my new 16 Dually and I don't plan on buying another truck for the rest of my life.

That $75k is ordering one. You can find one on a lot when they come out. Give it a few months or after the 2026 comes out, they will be marked down much less than that. Right now one can get great deals on the 2024, and I expect maybe even better next year to push them off the lots.

Base price on a CC LB 3500 Laramie is also up $7,125 since I ordered my 22. And the base Laramie has fewer features too.

Can’t get auto-level on a SRW, can’t keep the bench seat on any packages with the Laramie, adaptive steering is part of level on Laramie, Car Play isn’t mentioned until Laramie level 2… etc

The drivetrain may be better but the option configurations are not, what gives Ram?

That $75k is ordering one.

If you’re paying MSRP to order one then you need to find a new dealer…

Yep, volume dealers are around and often do 11% off msrp. I used mark dodge in LA for my Durango. They make it seamless, airport pickup or delivery and you buy a vehicle without steeping foot into the dealership. All online if you like. Paperwork is ready to go when you arrive, you’re out the door in under an hour.

I picked a bad year when I bought my '21. Major truck shortage with the chip deal. Used truck prices were off the charts. My local wanted MSRP. I finally managed 7% off, I was fine with that, considering the year.

The $75k I posted is just playing with the order guides. No clue how greedy the dealers will be this year. It might pay to order sooner than later, if the hike in tariffs goes...
