lately i have noticed oil on the bottom of my steering stabilizer shock directly under the oil pan. the oil pan is dry and i can't find where its coming from. anyone have any ideas? does the steering stabilizer shock have oil in it,because the shaft that goes in and out of it when i turn also has oil on it? :(

IF,and I am not trying to worry you here, the KDP has cracked the front cover it will leak there. I realize that you said its only leaking there so check it carefully and let us know. If the KDP has done its damage recently it may not have had enough time to cause a huge leak mess... ... . Andy

I had a leaky front crank seal that caused oil to spill all over the front steering. It was leaking below the crank pully and onto the front of oil pan and then onto the` steering. I did tab the KDP (replaced front cover seal and timing case gasket) and it fixed the majority of the leak except for the vacuum pump to timing case gasket leak. Fixed that and now its leak free. The only way you can tell is cleaning and degreasing the engine and watch it. The fan blows oil everywhere so sometimes its hard to pinpoint the leak.

If you haven't tabbed the KDP, then do it and you can replace the front seal and front timing cover gasket. It's possible the gasket between the timing case and engine block is leaking or (dare I say it) a cracked timing case as was mentioned. The vacuum pump to power steering pump is another source as is the injection pump.

Edit: I just checked your profile and see you already killed the KDP. Never Mind. Sorry for the mindless ranting. I'll go take my medication now :-laf

Mine seems to be leaking around the Timing Cover Housing Plate!!

Not 100% sure yet ,,but under side is covered,,blowing back from some where??

Is this gasket hard to replace??

Mine is leaking on the drivers side.
