Ok Guys,

I am in the hunt for more power:p

My DD4's need to be upgraded. :-laf

Some suggestions for my daily driver are needed:-{}

Thanks,

wildmanben,

It seems that the 180 pump puts out about 480cc.

My last dyno was 460 & 980.

I was looking for more---:D

Is there a suggestion out there ???????

Travis,

Where & how much for the DF's

How are they compared to DDP4's ?

I think more pump flow might be the answer.

Thanks,

I think the dragon flows are about a 5X. 018

I ran 5X. 018's on my pulling truck was also my daily driver and I loved them.

what are the DD4's??

Still dont think that injectors are the deal here. When you hit full boost, does it clean the smoke or is it still pretty smokey? Also check fuel pressure like I mentioned to you earlier.

Industrial Injection has the Dragon Flows, I believe they are ~$1100.

DDP4s are a 5x. 014" I think...

I would work on the pump before Id do injectors, in your situation. Even a stock 215 pump will probably add more hp that you will add with an injector upgrade.

You need more injection pressure. :)

Michael,

I missed a letter--OOPS:eek:

It should have said DDP 4's-Peirs sells them. :D

I do want to move up to something else.

I talked to someone from a pump shop. He recommended laser cut 191's & bigger lines. :-{}

Any thoughts on this???

wildmanben,

There isn't any smoke at full boost. The charger cleans it out very nicely. Oo.

Yes the pump was at the flow bench & measured 480cc's. They furnished a print out to go with the bill.

thekidfan,

These injectors are not too big, they may be lacking DV's. I'm thinking of goint to laser cuts 191's. ;)

Buck88,

I did the flow bench with a zero plate.

That is why I'm thinking of the laser cut DV's next.

The jury is still out on the oversize lines.

Please dont think i was busting your balls about the letter missing i was serious:-laf

Laser cuts would help also you could get your DV holders EDMed

Michael

Michael,

Does the laser cut 191 DV's work better than stock 191's ?

TReed,

Do you have the Dragon Flows in your daily driver ?

I hit 25 stop lights & 5 stop signs one way to work every day. #@$%!

What are the DF rated over stock, the DDP 4's are 140 over stock.

What about 4,000 Gov. Springs vs my 3,000 ?:D

Thanks,

Thought I would drop a few notes here on ideas and lessons learned.

If your 180 pump is putting out that much fuel then it has been to the bench that's a fact as they don't flow that much fuel normally. It does not flow 480cc's on your truck with DPP4's, 480 is allot of fuel and I'd bet my 215 doesn't flow anymore than that. If it did flow that much you would definately never clean it up and your EGT's would be in the 1800 degree range as a guess.

The Dragon Flows are definately 5x18's but it's not the hole size, it's the attention inside the injector that makes them shine... ..... this you have to have an EDM machine to do and the knowledge.

You do not need bigger lines, EDM holders or big DV's. The pump shop puts a fuel supply line on that is set at 40 psi with volume enough to not drop pressure, you can not over supply that pump as long as you can return as much fuel away from it as you need to.

Currently I run the stock system and when I want to make a hard run or dyno I turn on an A1000 that has a 12AN line as supply, goes through a stand alone filter (FS1001) via 10AN line and a 10AN continues to the pump were it goes through a 10AN (Y) and a 6AN line into the stock inlet banjo and another 6AN to the front of the pump. Still uses the stock return line but I have an external regulator instead of a overflow valve. I can pull the stock system down to around 10-15 psi but the aux system allows me to stay in the 40-50 psi area.

At the last outing I was at 640hp on #2 and have since tuned the pump to act a little better on top and added the second fuel supply, should be able to see what it will do before long.

Hello Jim,

I appreciate your reply to my question.

I'm assuming the A1000 is a pump.

When you restrict the return line for more fuel to stay inside it brings back memories of truckin in a company truck with the channel locks squeezing the return line . :-laf

Are you running the a single charger ?

Are the 4,000 gov springs worth the effort over the 3,000 gov. springs?;)

I'm still using this as a daily driver. Oo.

Thank You,

Wayne
