Yesterday I put a quart of 2 cycle oil in the tank and topped it off with ULSD, today the truck seems to be running quieter!!! Would be interesting to take some DB readings to valid any reduction in engine noise. SNOKING

Yeah, and spitting oil out of the airbox breathers. Nothing sound better than an old USCG 40 footer with twin 671's. SNOKING

mine also seems quieter on ulsd . and way way less smoke and i cant tell any diffrence in fuel milage on the 01 pulling or empty. i realy like the less smoke part

I think you missed my point. I think the 2 cycle oil quieted it down not the ULSD junk. SNOKING

I started adding 1oz of 2 stroke per gallon 2 tanks ago and I'm seeing about 1/2 MPG increase on the same route. It is also noticeably quieter. I am, however, getting fuel from a pump which is still labeled "low sulpher" 500 ppm or less. Not sure if they just have not updated the label or not.

any brand or type of 2-stroke you guys recommend over the others? My only worry is gunk building up on the pistons and valves.

I've been told that Walmart Super Tech Universal 2-cycle Engine Oil is a good choice and just about the least expensive. They say it contains less additives and solvents than the others which would mean more actual oil for pump lubricity.

I don't know, everytime I add 2-stroke oil to my 2-stroke KTM it smokes like a train. Must need rings, it seems to be burning oil. :D

o ya sorry i guess i read that wrong . mine does seem quiter and way cleaner on it though {ulsd} however i do not have good things to say about it in the tractor and sure hope the seals in the 92 last longer running it. although i think think the 92 will get a special blend of fuel so i wont need to worry about it for awhile

Hey go to Wal Mart and read the back of Marvels Mystery Oil and read the back of the Gallon or quart "I" buy the gallon for $12, but it reads in big bold letters DOES NOT COMPLY WITH FEDERAL ULTRA LOW SULFER CONTENT REQUIREMENTS FOR USE IN MODEL YEARS 2007 AND NEWER DIESEL MOTORS AND ON AND ON... That's what my dad and I have been running. My dad has a 03 7. 3 and around here this ultra low sulfer has been killing the ol' fords, but my dad's has been doing good...

Because of the particle filter on the 2007's, you have to be carefully with what you put in the tank. SNOKING

I agree Snoking. . I have an 03 and use 1 quart power service in gray bottle and one qt MMO. Mileage is up to 20 in city and 24-26 on hiway and the engine is much quieter

I been running FPPF's Total Power and Marvel Mystery Oil in mine at every fill up. I've noticed a slight increase in fuel mileage but no reduction in noise. I've still got that pinging sound to mine at part throttle

running 15w 40 quart and a half to the tank i havent tried the 2 cycle yet probly stick with 15w40 and stanadyne blend in the 01 . and probly the special blend in the 92

I've been adding 2 cycle oil since 2001. Much cheaper than other additives and 2 cycle is 99. 9% ash free.

I use China-Mart brand 2 cycle oil and mix at 200:1. 2 cycle oil is designed to be burned inside the engine.

When I change my transmission oil (Royal Purple SynchroMax in the 5600) I use it instead of 2 cycle oil.

How many LP's and VP's from 2001 to date? SNOKING
