search sources for trucks

Looking to find an '07 truck & have just a few preferences. I've tried Autotrader & local dealer search, but not much luck. Just curious, but what other sources do you like when searching for a new/used truck ?

Both have great internet sales..... Rob Croswhite is the TDR rep at dishman dodge in Spokane, the largest dodge dealer in this state and dave smith the largest in the world in Kellogg ID.....

Both have delivery programs where you can fly in and take delivery... .

They can quote you on whats in stock or in the delivery process... . the only truck you could order at this date is an 08.....

They are both nice dealers who sell to TDR members 1000 back of invoice and any rebates... . and if you later want a pacbrake let me know... .

I used Dodge - Trucks - Automobiles - Sport Utility Vehicles to find my NEW 07, 5. 9. If you go there, go to "find a dealer" and punch in zip codes. You can then search their inventory and it gives prices.

Swift Dodge in Sacramento, Ca had a bunch of 5. 9's

Word of Mouth seems to works great on here. We all kind of have an idea of whats around us. Post what you want and we can maybe tell you if it's located near us. .

The dealers search feature is much better than what you are able to access on line. They can enter your options that you want and find them w/in the radius you are willing to shop. Go directly to the fleet manager to avoid paying a salesmans commission.

Another vote for Dave Smith in Kellogg, ID. Another good dealer if your are in the SouthWest is Melloy Dodge in Albuquerque. They matched Dave Smith price for me and saved me the 1200 mile trip.

OK, I'll see what TDR members can do for me. I would like the following truck:



1. 07 truck reg cab w/5. 9 (cheaper than 6. 7) & probably trouble free @ this point

2. 4 X 4

3. prefer inferno red but will take other red as 2nd choice

4. need power seat ; prefer leather but premium cloth OK

5. 6 spd preferred but would take auto if I had to



I still would like to take advantage of the year end closeout. Local dealer thinks this will be extended past the Oct 1 deadline (but who really knows )



If low mile used, that's OK, too

Not sure where you are but Folsom Dodge has $12,000. 00 off MSRP on 5. 9. Had a friend that purchased a $38,000. 00 2500, 5. 9, Man. , Big Horn, Quad Cab, SLT, Long Bed for $26,000. 00 + TTL.

Your not going to find a reg cab, in a 4x4 in any color of red in an 07 this late in the game in a new truck.....

Most dealers think reg cabs are dogs and don't order them... You need to tell us what state your in... and pick up the computer and check in with Dishman or Dave Smith... . every day means another 100 trucks are gone... .

Understand that Dave Smith alone moves 800 trucks a month and most of those are factory ordered... . what they usually offer off the lot are those trucks that have not been picked up for some reason... . customer changed their mind, financing fell through... . what ever.....

Yeah, I should have told you where I live. I'm in central Illinois. I've had the local Dodge dealer do a 600 mile search & did not find anything. I guess it is very late in the game, so I may wait awhile & see if anything used pops up in an 06 or 07.

In that case, your much closer to Lou Fusz Dodge Dealer in St. Louis, MO. Call them at 314-966-0630. They may not give you as good a price as Dave Smith in Kellogg, ID, however.

OK guys, I've pretty much exhausted any possibility of finding an 07 w/the 5. 9 & a regular cab. If any of you see the following around, drop me a line :



1. 07 Quad Cab w/8 ft box (plan on having a camper later)

2. 5. 9 for now

3. manual preferred

4. leather preferred w/6 way power

5. inferno red

6. 4X4



Else I will wait till the bugs are out of the 6. 7 & get a new one in a few years.
