That's it! I am finished with quadzilla. I am on sending unit #4, and unit #2... . AFTER they "repaired" the first one and I still have no fuel pressure. I have never been screwed around by a single company more than this one. They have promised me countless times that they would correct the problem and 6 months later here I am with STILL no active fuel pressure from my recon unit.

Buyer beware with these clowns..... I will NEVER buy another quadzilla product as long as I live. I had considered the MMM from them, but not now. Anybody have any other suggestions for fuel pressure gauges? Something affordable perhaps? It really is too bad they couldn't get me a product that worked.

What a joke... . their reputation is diesel power/momitoring technology products???? I could have hooked up a pile of wires and other BS that did the same EXACT job as what their product did. Thanks for nothing quadzilla.

As with everything, there are good and bad. I happen to get bad from quadzilla 5 times. Besides the cost of the unit, i also paid shipping to send the first one down once, and I paid an additional $10 fro the latest "heavy duty" sending unit. For those of you with good stories from quad, congrats. As for me and my money... ... I'm going someplace else.

Ok... rage is over. I found some gauge packages from vulcan that seem like good deals. (I did a search on here first and found some links for vulcan. ) Anyway, they give you the choice of DiPricol Optix series for $289 and Isspro EV sries for $259. What is the differnce in the two, besides the $30? Also, how does the paint job go for the A-pillar? It seems pretty simple but I have messed up some pretty simple paint jobs before!

I don't know about the DiPricol but I have been using the Isspro EV Series

for 7 years and have no problems.

As for as painting get your paint from Dealer clean Gauge pod and spray

you shouldn't have any problem.

My vote goes to Isspro. They are a locally owned co. and have a very good reputation. Especially with the Big Rig folks.

Sorry to hear about your experience. You know, I've been considering putting a module on my truck. I had it narrowed down to Quadzilla and Smarty. After reading about Gary-K7GLD's bad experience with Smarty, I had decided on Quadzilla. Now? I think I'm just going to stay stock and not screw with what's working.

As for your gauge decision, both DiPricol and Isspro are good gauges. The big difference is that if you ever have a problem with a gauge, Isspro will, 9 times out of 10, send you a new gauge no questions asked; their warranty is phenominal. DiPricol will ask you to send the gauge back to them, and you're looking at a couple of weeks downtime before you get resolution to the problem.

I had Isspro EV gauges on my 2005 and absolutely loved them. Isspro is the only gauge manufacturer, to my knowledge, that makes gauges that look almost identical to our factory gauges.

My $. 02

That's 3 for isspro... . I am liking this so far! I really appreciate all of the advice and help I get from this site. My original post was edited (re-edited) due to language. I apologize for any hurt feelings or any sore eyes from the post. I really do not need to get so upset. Not to make excuses, but I am sure most of you can sympathize.

Myself, family & friends all run DiPricol guages & they've always worked flawlessly thus far for all of us. Been 6+ years so far FWIW. That would 4 trucks running DiPricol.

Make that 4 votes for Isspro.

Not saying Isspro is the best because that is all Ive run on this truck. Am very satisfied with them though. Realistically, probably any of the major brands are fine like DiPricol, Autometer, etc. Its probably what you want to be looking at from YOUR Captains seat that matters most.

As far as getting upset about products or vendors not meeting our expectations, someone has to say something to help others that may be making informed choices. On the other hand it is only fair to give the vendor a chance to make it right first (not saying you didnt) but I too have been guilty in the past of being pretty harsh on products & vendors which I have since learned those words didnt need to be so harsh and I only was making the problem worse. Have since sent out the apologies and have learned. It takes some courage to admit you messed up sometimes, but at least we will admit to it (unlike some) and we "live and learn". We all benefit from each others lessons and more informative (sticking with the facts) posts that are not so escalated or "attacking" in nature. Thanks.

Hopefully, we will see this sending unit problem corrected, because these boxes look pretty interesting.

I have run Isspro EV's since day one, I've had a couple very minor issues and they took care of me right away. And they look like they came from Dodge! I use a green and blue bulb cover and they match up really well.

And the best thing your doing is dealing with Vulcan! Eric is the best vendor I have dealt with, excellent service, knowledge and pricing!

I have had the same terrible experience with Quad as you. In short, the gauge they sold never worked as advertised and then they messed around for weeks and wanted me to pay extra to make it work at all. They talk all this crap about great customer service, but in reality, they suck. In contrast, I have received outstanding service from Smarty, Source Automotive, Mitusa, Lornez, etc, etc. As for Quad I am finished with them.

I've been trying to decide which box I want, a Edge Juice/Attitude or a Quad Adrenalin/Commander. After reading this thread on quad, I'll be getting the edge juice.

In regards to guages, the only experience I have is with the Isspro EV's, been using them for six years with no problems.

That, and similar posts in this thread aren't very encouraging - I have been following the Quad Adrenaline development with interest, but would be a bit more cautious after reading here...

I have had very good luck with the quadzilla product I purchased new off ebay a couple of years ago. The only problem was a very rough idle and a CEL. Quad was very promt with help. I didn't have to send it back to them as I found a pushed pin myself and corrected it. It was my own doing in this case as I had removed and reinstalled the box while doing some other work on the truck. I don't have Isspro guages so cannot comment on them. I do have D'Prycol EGT and boost guages. They match the factory guages near perfect, but the lighting sucks bad. I don't feel that I should have to pay to replaced them with the new Optix guages. I figure they should have had decent lighting to begin with.

I have ISSPRO EGT and Boost gauges, for over 5 years, no problems. If I had it to do again, I'd make sure to get a gauge that has the needle lit (I like analog).

As for fuel pressure, I have a Westach. After 5 years, the sender failed. Bought a new sender from Geno's, it's all good again.

As for Quadzilla, in the Adrenalin thread, they have admitted to having problems with the fuel pressure sender vendor as the cause for delaying shipment of the Adrenalin. I have no experience with them, but do like the sound of their new product.

As for vendor experiences in general, there are very few that I haven't heard someone complain about. Based on my unscientific observation, Dodge dealers are the worst, followed by Edge Products. I've been known to go out of my way to deal with vendors who treat me well. Such positive votes are very quiet. Negative votes are usually very loud.

The Quad fuel pressure sender that came with my commander was no good. I paid the $10 for the upgraded heavy duty sender and just got it installed yesterday. It seems to be working fine so far. I did have to solder a ground wire onto the case.

I have an Edge Attitude and a Quad Commander. I like having both because I like having 8 gauges at once. If I was just picking one or the other, I would go with Edge all the way. It is a much more flexible unit.

just because a few guys have some problems is no reason for people to get too worried..... every manufacturer has had problems and i am sure this one will get fixed also

i know a new quad box will be going into my truck very soon
