Camper Package included the over load springs, sway bars, heavy duty alternator and the plug for installing the brake controller inside into the factory harness.
camper = slide in the bed units, top heavy + prone to side winds = sway bar
overload springs = stack over + 1 thick bottom spring(?) = to handle a 3000 (guess dont have one) lbs unit in the bed
no need plug for a brake controller w camper = (may be in a standard harness) or tow package.
tow package = hitch & 7 pin rv style plug at bumper, autos may get a aux cooler. May get a larger rear (I have a dana 80), trans, etc
plow package = heaver springs up front (4x4)
heavy duty alt - 135A, I don't know what package - I have all 3 & the dealer told me all diesels get the HD package anyway. So pricing for packages may be cheaper with a diesel because they allready have it.
I bought blocks to add to the top stops for the camper springs to contact sooner. My truck doesn't come close to touching them evey with a loaded trailer. and it just looks bad with the rear down alittle due to the 2" leveling kit
dodge = 2" low in front
leveling kit = level empty
loaded (stock) = level
loaded w/leveling kit = 2" or under lower in rear depending on load
Camper package was a great value on a new truck (approx $200) but was droped ( I think 03+)
As for front sway bars
2x4 = yes (may be larger with packages-don't know- have 4x4)
4x4 with solid axles = no
