I'd like to hear from the Edge Attitude w/ Juice users on how they like their Edge. Things they like, things they don't like and the overall performance of the unit. Noticeable power increases? Effect on fuel mileage? Hot Unlock worth it?

I'm seriously considering the Edge Attitude w/ Juice for my 04. 5. Currently, I am running an Airaid CAI, Stinger 2 module and 4" straight pipe (5" Magnaflow SS system on order). The truck has a 48RE and 3. 73 gears. This is my daily driver and I also tow a 26' box trailer on the weekends which is loaded with a '73 Vega Wagon and all the tools and goodies necessary for a day at the drag strip.

Edit: See post #45 for an update. Edge Attitude w/Juice installed tonight! 6/12

I have had the juice with attitude for about three years on my 05. I love it and have had no problems. I got the hot setting about a year and a half ago, it is a huge difference over the 100 horse setting. Edge also has the best customer service around. I get about 1 mpg better then without the chip on. I also have it stacked with the Edge EZ, not impressed with power from the EZ, but I also get about another mpg with the EZ.

I like mine. Only prob is it runs a little hot. But with the hot unlock i made 459HP on stock fuel, and ran a 13. 8@99mph in my almost 8k lbs mega 4x4... ...

I love the adjustablity, i tow a 10K+ 5th on level 3 and its great.

Ive had a couple problems with the software in the A2, but seems to work pretty well now.

No complaints here... i also have mine stacked with the EZ it gives it a nice lower end. I do not have the hot unlock but plan on purchasing it sometime. But nice smooth power in my opinion.

How exactly does the hot unlock work? Does it add another power setting or does the hot unlock become the new setting 5?

Also, how much does it smoke?

i love the adjustability as well. change settings on the fly. smooth power, and the hot unlock is awsome! i have yet to try stacking it with the EZ. but we shall see.

Can someone explain the whole "stacking" thing? I'm new to electronically controlled diesels. Are you actually adding the EZ on top of the Juice?

You run both the EZ which adds more pressure and the juice. The hot unlock adds a 6th level that is well worth the $100... ... best benjamin i ever parted with.

usually stacking is done to get more power not necessarly things like fuel economy and lower egts. "stacking" usually means a programmer to reflash your computer and a chip/module to enhance the programming coming from the computer and into the motor.

personally i really don't suggest stacking 2 modules unless one is soley a pressure box (fuel adder) as you could run into timing issues if done improperly.

i have the edge in my chevy and love it and have had great feedback from dodge guys as well here are 2 reviews from out site.

Edge Attitude W/ Juice 04. 5 Ram (r3markey)

The Edge Juice with Attitude is the best investment I've made power wise. I don't even run with it on more than setting one most of the time just for mileage, but the attitude saved me money and space with not having to buy separate gauges. I would advise anybody who is thinking about power upgrades to definately get the edge when they get exhaust and intake.

edge (gooch)

after getting my edge installed at your shop my truck is running great. i love the in cab adjustability of the unit and the power is awesome! with all the gauges built into the attitude monitor it was a great buy and the pillar mount looks really cool. i also love the fact the attitude shows my true speed after putting my cooper tires and raceline wheels on. xtreme diesel has done it again!

Thanks for the input, Kyle. I actually just ordered a MagnaFlow 5" stainless exhaust system through XDP (Jeremy was very helpful with any questions I had). I also plan on ordering the Edge through you as well. :)

Sending you a PM...

OK, so I dont type so good. Yes I still have it. I did have a Smarty this weekend, awsome power, but I was tired of stoping and downloading a different program all the time. It is a nice unit, but I like the instant adjustability of the edge. IF I had the extra $$$ laying around I would get one, but that wont be any time soon

The juice does duration and timing on the injectors, the EZ raises fuel rail pressure. Both chips are pluged in and both turned on at the same time. It works because they do different things, but not all chips can be stacked. The trucks that are mad BEFORE 04. 5 can not use the stack because the juice raises pressure on those trucks.

You just load up level 5 and leave it.

Do either the Juice or EZ raise boost pressure or does boost remain at factory level?

According to my Attitude monitor I have seen 41 pounds of boost on my stock turbo. I am pretty sure that is a raise of at least 5 psi.
