Hydrogen Generator for trucks

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Correct me if I' wrong Gary, but I think you are just trying to get people to show a little support for fellow Cummins owners and stop talking negative about something they haven't tried, or been succesful at, because it discourages the ones who want to try HHO and discuss how to do it on a site that has the most knowledgable people in the world. I for one would benifit from from the vast knowledge available here. We are trying to be inovative. If it does or doesn't work, we are the ones who have paid the price in sweat and $$.

You have accomplished your task of letting people know it is not for everyone and IMO, it isn't.

And not everyone has to put it on their truck.

If we mess up, we will let you know.

IMHO I don't need proof to save $$, I'm just gonna keep savin'. :) :) :)

If you dont need proof, send my $100. 00 and I will tell you you are gitting 75 MPG for $200. 00 I tell you are gitting 150MPG.

Bob,

I didn't say i was sending any money out. And yes If I were buyin the unit from anyone I would also ask for a HUGE amount of proof. What i meant to say was I did not need proof that HHO works.

Sorry for the mis-statement on my part.

Perhaps the Editor of TDR would be able to secure a "G3" demo unit from its maker for a 30 day, 10K mile evaluation, city, towing, and empty, 3rd gen and older engines, then publish the results here for millions to see.

How about a showdown, where all manufacturers send a demo unit?

How many vote for this, let's put this to rest once and for all.

:-laf I'm for that. :-laf

This is great. It just gets better and better. Ronn Motors is a start up company that is 1 year old. Before that, this guy was trying to start up a venture with the Chinese to make buses. This Scorpion is still a prototype car built with Acura parts. Ain't a single one on the street yet, only media hype ... there's something new.

Hydrorunner is also a start up company just barely a year old. Their units run $3500-7000. That puts them head and shoulders over the 'common' run-your-car-on-water crowd. But then they have a computer on board with a program to make it work in every make and model vehicle. Bet they don't have one for a '74 Ford F100. From my perspective, this is a tuner with H2-O2 generator dangling off the side. Try to find something about performance of this unit that is not a direct quote from their site. All I could find was this, via google.

Hydrorunner - Florida Gas Prices

Third post down, a guy fess's up to buying one for $3500. Says he doubled his mileage but it knocked off after 2 weeks. Solids build up on electrodes and sludge in the cell. I'll keep my opinion to myself regarding the 2X mileage claim :-laf but these vendors are really need to test there junk before they market. Their claims that you can operate on tap water are pure BS. Unless you have a softener, tap water contains calcium and magnesium, among other ionic species. Calcium and magnesium in these system will plate on the cathodes and create lots of calcium and magnesium hydroxide sludge in the cell. And then there is the s/s anodes. They will contribute iron that forms ferrous hydroxide and further oxidizes to ferric oxide, hence the pretty red/brown color noted in the electrolyte in so many posts on the hho forums.

The same guys says that Hydrorunner is working to upgrade there electrodes to eliminate this. They can't change the calcium and mag problem but they can stop the corrosion of the anodes. You have to feed it demineralized water to get around the hardness issues. Softened water or distilled water will get you in a better place but not nearly as good as demin water. He mentions titanium or 'uridium'. This is actually iridium oxide coated on a titanium substrate. This is the standard O2 evolving anode used in the real world for water electrolysis. Goes under the trade name of DSA which stands for 'dimentionally stable anodes'. Means they don't dissolve in use. Can be had from Eltech Systems in the US, DeNora in Italy, Permalec in Japan and Permascan is Scandinavia. Everything else is a knock off (anybody want more Chinese?).

The biggest BS flag for me was that they stated they will displace gasoline consumption by 40% with on board generated hydrogen. See https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/alternative-fuels/204011-hydrogen-diesel-engine-gets-80-better-mpg.html for an idea of how much H2 generation this means.

1 gallon of gasoline = 124,000 Btu
1 gallon of diesel fuel = 139,000 Btu

The figures in that post (80% better mileage) were based on diesel consumption. Use the ratio from the figure above to calculate how much wondergas is needed to backup their statements. Have fun and don't mix H2 with O2. It doesn't just explode with an ignition source, it detonates. Think supersonic.

I followed the link for the "Hydrorunner G3" and immediately noticed something familier. The photograph of the mysterious and amazing G3 is a rip off of a desktop computer case that I had just seen on another website. Take a look:

http://www.nextdaypc.com/main/products/details.aspx?PID=4082264&rsmainid=ND0130014

It's called an APEVIA X-Cruiser if the link stops working... nothing to do with hydrogen generation (hopefully, since it is a plastic case meant for indoor desktop use)

Of course you could buy one of these cases, call it the G4 and use the money you make selling it online to buy Diesel.
