I think my asking price is not in line with the current market. I don't need the truck any more, so it will be sold, but I need help setting a realistic asking price. Truck is in flawless condition, has a 7 year 100k warranty, and I might even throw in the lifetime Sirius subscription.

I just drove 442 miles from ALB NM to Tucson today (empty) and got 22 MPG at 65 MPH on just over half a tank (20 Gal).

Do you think your asking to low? I've been considering selling my '98 12V and getting a 3rd gen. If I was in a better situation I'd make you an offer, your rig is exactly what I'm looking for. From my research around the Denver area your asking price seems about right. Maybe a little low for miles and condition? What does Kelly blu book and N. A. D. A say it's worth?

Your price seems to be about right as a starting point. The local dealer where I purchase my trucks just sold an '05 similar to yours, but with less equipment, with 37000 miles for $22,500. I believe it was listed for $23,995.

Ken,

When I was trying to get a price on what my classic 69 Bronco was worth, I checked the NADA website.

Either that or Blue Book and get a rough idea about the prices.

Just a thought.

After consulting a couple of dealers, I've adjusted my price to $19,995. It's really hard to determine fair value in today's market using the online guides as they were way too high before, and now are pretty much useless given the truck market. I'm willing to take whatever mine is worth, I just need to find that number.

Ryan: At least it's still a Cummins. :)

When I'm trying to set a price for something in my area, I do a couple of different things.

1, Check KBB and NADA for prices

2, Do an Ebay search for my area

3, do a Craigslist search for my area

Once I do that, I usually set a price I can live with and be a little on the high side to leave a little wiggle room for negotiation.

Sure is a pretty truck Ken. I wish I could buy it too.

Truck is sold to a TDR member who will give it a good home.

I'm not sure if I'll renew my TDR membership when it expires next year, but I do have a Cummins 6. 7L in my Freightliner FRED motor home, so this still may be a good resource. Thanks for the 7-1/2 years of fun.
