I blew a 40 amp fuse on my 01 yesterday (trailer fuse) and was shocked at what those square fuses cost! $5 for a fuse at carquest! Is there a cheaper place to get them or does anyone make a conversion from the square fuses to the spade type that my 03 takes?

I bought an extra fuse and carry it w/ me. You can wire in a self resetting breaker by insalling clips in the truck power module to the breaker mounted close by.

I get mine from a junk yard. fuses and relays. keep a bunch in the truck.

This is also what I did. I had gone to NAPA to get the very same fuse (trailer) and almost passed out when I was given the price, I bought it of course. I found myself at a salvage yard later in the week and was standing in front of a wrecked Dodge truck with no hood. I asked if I could grab the fuses and the guy said sure, he even offered for me to grab the fuses out of another Dodge on the way back to the office. I have a lifetime supply now, cost = free. :p
