The door window and lock toggles have been acting up lately. First it was just the passenger side... sometimes they would work other times not. I could usually get both the door windows and locks to work from the driver side even when they wouldn't work from the passenger side.

Now I've noticed the door lock on my side isn't working right either. Is there a controller relay somewhere in the cab. I changed out the relay in the fuse box but knew it couldn't be that. Nothing would have worked if that was blown. I've also popped both controllers out of the door and checked the electrical connections. Everything looks OK there.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the tip. I went ahead and pulled those switches out (that wasn't easy!) and took them apart. I figured what the hell... they're broke.

Anyway the switch actually works fine. There's little brass contacts in there that engage the rocker. These contacts bend or flatten a little over time and don't make contact when you push the rocker. I bent them back just a bit and everythings working like new.

It probably won't last as the brass is fairly soft. i'm surprised they hold up as well as they do.

Thanks again TDC. I was thinking there might be a fancy relay (like a blinker relay or something) under the dash that controlled the works but looks like the switches on the door do that.
