Im hoping someone has a solution for the "Catalyst Full" syndrome. Last September i was in the back country elk hunting and my Catalyst percent keep getting higher and higher.
Getting in, we drive approximately 45 miles back in at slow speeds, the terrain is very rugged and you must go slow there is no opportunity to drive at highway speeds for regeneration. After a couple of days driving in the back country my Catalyst keep reading higher and higher and I know that it got to at least 90%, and it could have been higher. I was very concerned that I would have a shut down 45 miles back in terrain where a vehicle couldn't even be towed from easily. Any ideas? What i did do was to put the truck into 4 low and then in 1st and it seemed to hold things steady.
Need some help before this occurs again in Sept. '09. Can we just not use our trucks off road
