Can you give us an idea what a TV cable is? I've been racking my brain and can't put a finger on it . . . TV in America is television (Telly to you) and TV in truck talk is usually Tow Vehicle, and I don't think thats it.

I'm from OK, not UK but I think he is talking about kickdown cable for transmission, might also be called detent cable, also think TV is signifying throttle valve. By the way I have a brand new cable for a 99 24 valve but it is short the little plastic locking device. bg

Yes its the throttle valve cable from the pump to the trans, I went to adjust mine & the pump end plastic lock thing fell into 2 parts...

The engine block and the transmission housing are the same on both, only the injection pump is different. I would thiink they might be the same. The one on the 99 I had had the little white plastic clip that you pulled back to adjust the linkage then pushed it in to lock. I popped it all the way out one time and it went under the truck and I never found it, ended up buying new cable assy. and just used the clip. I had mine rigged with a tie wrap or something so I could drive it while the clip was missing. bg
