part out the dodge, keep the motor and transmission. Sell the ford motor and transmission and put the two together! :-laf I've always wanted to do this.
 
Another option would be to sell the Dodge, and use the proceeds to buy the special equipment to lift the cab on the Ford when the time comes for engine repair.
 
I'll take your FORD in trade. I've got a knuckle head friend who will buy it off me. We can make you Dodge ride 10x better than that stock FORD.

Thanks for all the replies. Most of you think the same thing I was thinking, take some of the money and put it in the dodge.



Let me say this though, I love my CUMMINS, not necessarily my DODGE! Someone else said the same thing on here, if I could pull the CTD and put it in the Ford, It would be the best of both worlds!



Also, on another note, I picked it up cheap because the guy had the title in hand (paid $50K cash for it) and he has to move in short notice. He isnt hurting for money! He has never had an issue w/it in 46K miles and still tells me he hasnt cashed his check yet and will take it back if I dont want it. But I plan to make a few bucks on it.

YES MPG SUCKS ON THE FORD! I will be keeping the Dodge!

Hopefully you didn't pay more then 24k for it... seems to be about the going rate around here for one thats owned outright. Buddy of mine just had another reflash done on his to correct the last one they did to it !!:-laf he is hoping it will get 11-12 MPG now ..... unloaded !!! :eek:
 
Allright guys, it only took me a few days to get over the comfort. It already had a first stage turbo issue and it turned like a MAC truck! I jerked the 5th wheel hitch out of it and the guy (who loved his truck) took it back. Just swapped truck for check. Thanks for the help although I think even without this forum I would have made the same choice!
