My 'GEN' light keeps coming on intermittently, I ordered some alternator brushes from LarryB's. But I'm thinking it could be the sensor in the battery tray? Is there any way I can 'Link' it out to test its operation??

8 years ago my grid heater relays stuck closed and caused my GEN light to come on from an overloaded alt. I dissconnected one small wire from each relay and have not had a problem since. I reconnect the relays when temps drop below 25F. Still on my original alt.

Might try that.

The temp sensor will not turn on the gen light. It is an input to the pcm to adjust the out put very slightly
