On my passenger side assembly I blew both bulbs today on the way home from work and now have moisture on the inside of the housing. Are the two related problems related? and if so, how?

I don't want simply replace the bulbs and have the same issue. Is it possible the moisture caused the bulbs to blow? Or did the bulbs blow and something else is going on? Maybe the the housing is cracked? Gotta look into this. On the install I dropped the bumper so housing slid in without any trouble or tweaking.

Thanks

Follow-up.....

I think I goofed on the install. One of the light socket retainers wasn't in the locked position, it was only partially engaged. So what I think happened is the socket was loose enough to allow water into the housing, but tight enough to hold the bulb in place. I took my air hose and blew the housing out and there was at least a 1/4 inch of water laying in the bottom. When I pressurized the housing real quick, no drips out the front or bottom and no wires pinched or chaffed or anything. Now I'm off to buy new bulbs. Maybe this weekend or when the weather clears up I'll open the holes up in the rad support a bit more, I think with a little more clearance it would be easier to ensure I don't make this mistake again.

Further investigation shows that the clear lens is not fully sealed to the black outer housing. I popped the entire assembly out tonight and put in the two blown out bulb back into the housing, then dunked the assembly into a buck of water and it leaked right away. So not I have to see if Headlight Depot will warranty the one headlight or if I'm on the hook? When you look close you can see that there isn't any (or very little sealant in in top center of the lens, right where the water pours in from.

This stinks.....

Saga continues, I contacted Headlights Depot through ebay and they responded right away with a form to fill out via their website, issued me a RMA # and said as soon as they received the faulty housing they will ship a new one out to me. That's all I could hope for so, it looks like they are standing behind the sale and providing excellent customer service.

I'll check back once the new unit arrives.

Hope Headlight Depot treats you right. I installed my sport headlights last week and so far no leaks. It was raining today, so I checked both lights pretty well when I got home. I was able to install my headlights by removing the plastic bumper cover only.

Headlight depot gets an A++++. They sent me a new housing today and all is well. I even tested this one before installing.
