What size fuel tank(s) did the '93 D350 Extended Cab Dually come with? My recently purchased Cummins has a malfunctioning fuel gauge, so until I'm able to repair it I'm trying to determine how many miles per tank between refueling.
If I did that with my '92, I'd run out of fuel all the time... mine also has a 25 gal tank.I would act like it was a 30gal that way you should not run out.
... What year are the trucks you speak of?...
... I had the VIN printout from the dealer for both of the trucks in my sig. The D250 had a 30 gallon tank and the W350 had a 25 gallon tank.
I also took both tanks to almost empty and refiiled. The capacities were as accurate as the pump.
That's in line with mine being a 25 gallon tank... the light comes on when I need about 21 gallons to fill it.The low fuel light can vary too.
I have had three 1st gens and they would kick on with 3-5 gallons left.
The only way to know for sure is to run out of fuel. :{
You fill up when you still have 10 gallons in the tank? 350 miles at 18 mpg is less than 20 gallons of fuel used. I get more than 350 miles out of my 25 gallon tank before my low fuel indicator comes on, and I only get about 17 mpg.My '90 D350 with the classic cab has a 30 gallon tank on it. I average about 300-350 miles before i need to fill up. I average about 18-19 miles per gallon on my truck.
