Went to pickup a ton of limestone today and they weighed my truck... 6700lbs.

After the load it came in at 8780lbs.

Makes you wish you could keep 2000lbs of weight in them all the time as nice as they ride. :D

Not 2000 more, but getting there. Rhino lined the bed, 50 gallon aux tank, 5er hitch with a gooseneck plate below it, rear mounted tool box full of gear brings mine to to 8000 with the tail gate removed.

Gotta watch those loader operators. Some know what theyre doing, some just dont give a s- - - .

I'll second that. My truck empty goes on the scale at 6680+/- and I need some topsoil to fill some low spots in my yard, well the operator dude must had a rough night and the entire bucket slid out almost at once..... I got back to the scale and was horrified to see 10,2xx..... I almost pooped a brick. Rode real good for the short trip home, steering input was kinda vague though:-laf

Mine hits the scale ar 7200 as it sets. I have an in-bed toolbox that i keep full of tools, chains, and straps and such. Randy

Don't know how much I got here, but yeah, truck rode real nice.

That was about the same size loader they used for my load. I think you had a tad more gravel than me though. ;)

Yep, this one was on the fence... He was careful for the size of the bucket compared to the bed but still allowed too much to go wherever.

figured this load to be around 6400# after weighing the components and doing some multiplication, it didn't dampen the rest of the days errands, i was surprised how well the brakes handled it but not out driving them helps

Good grief, where's all the weight hiding in mine? Full of fuel my truck comes in at 7700 on the scale at work. I have stacks & a 6-speed 4x4 quad cab long bed. I carry some spare parts & fluids but not a ton of stuff. Maybe the 305's for tires adding weight also? If my truck could lose a few pounds maybe I'd get better mileage. :-laf

I used to work at Worthington Steel, in a rolling mill. There was a story going around about somebody that tried to steal a roll of copper by using a crane to put it in their pickup. When everybody came to work the next morning, there was this "U" shaped pickup sitting at the loading dock :)

That was clearly rocket science at work!
