I can still get 25 mpg on the overheadQUOTE]
Do you really believe in the overhead dummy light?? I'd suggest that you do some old fashion arithmetic.
Just using the overhead "dummy" light as a trending point. If you read my post I did elude to the fact that I did not calculate by hand. I have since done so and my calculations do come out a little less than the overhead but not much at all, in fact less than one mpg. I was only trying to press the point that this person selling his truck may be telling the truth as HE sees it. Im not lying about my numbers either as I have no reason to do so. I am done with this post. You guys can go back to ridiculing someone you don't know again.
Please give us more information about your truck and what type of driving highway, city, flat, hills etc. Any mods on your truck etc. The reason I am asking is I have not been able to get over 16 with my 2010 and 18 mpg with my 1998 2500 etc. and I think most dodge owners have below 20 mpg.
So we need to know how you are making that type of fuel mileage.
Thank you for your feed back
Sngleshot,
Intersting I just did around trip to Disney in Fl towing a trailer with a small car on it total weight of trailer and car aprroximently 8,500 pounds. hand calc. the mpg and it was 10 going down and 11 coming back. Yes I was traveling at the post speed limit otherwise on I-95 you willl be road kill. Even with the truck empty the best I can get out of it is 16. 5 thats going down hill.
It appears that you have one of the better trucks for MPG.
I use my truck as work truck and I do load it down.
