Did the 2007. 5-2009 2500's with autos come with 11. 5" or 10. 5" rear axles or were they like the 5. 9L configs?

I believe the 10. 5's were with the Mega Cab 1500's with the Hemi only.

The 11. 5's are always with the Diesel's on both the 2500/3500's

Mac:cool:

2003-2007. 5 autos in 2500's had 10. 5" (unless it was a manual then it was 11. 5")
2nd gen 2500 autos has D70s (unless it was a manual then it was a D80)

It makes sense that with the 6. 7L they went to all 11. 5s as they have more power stock.

WOT is correct, if you open your glovebox there is a info label and it will tell you what axle(s) you have and if the anti-spin option was installed.

Only the early 47re With the SO Diesel autos had the 10. 5. When they went to all manuals and automatics haveing the HO Diesel they all have 11. 5. I am NOT sure what thw SO Diesels manuals had. Anything Diesel after 2004 will have the 11. 5

Did some more reading... it sounds like EARLY 03,04 NON HO 2500 autos had 10. 5, all others had 11. 5. 04. 5 and up all were 11. 5 for any transmission behind a Cummins. Can anyone confirm?

Interestingly, i looked in my glove box and found no sticker? not sure what's up with that. But I do have the build sheet so I know for sure mine is a 11. 5 (early '07).

This is true but as mentioned above, you could order the 11. 5 in those trucks as well so even an 03 SO auto may have a larger ring gear.

Just double checked my glovebox info tag and indeed I have the10. 5. I have a Non HO...

I believe SRadke is correct. Once the supply of 47 RE's was used up, the 48 and the 11. 5 axle were used together, even if you ordered the standard output (250HP) engine. I remember this when I ordered my '03, I was considering the SO engine because it came with the 48 and the 11. 5, but my better judgment prevailed and I ordered the HO engine.
