I have successfully uploaded 5 pictures, I was trying for 6 but I assume 5 is the limit since I can not upload the 6th picture. This is my first post.
I started out upgrading my leaking gearbox to the latest factory one by Dodge for 700. 00. This forced me to upgrade to the latest tie rod setup which I bought the Bilstein dampner upon reading the posts. I also replaced the trackbar bushings with Luke Links bushings and sway bar links with BD Sway bar links. I also added a hydraulic filter oil filter to the system like another member post I found. After the Amsoil fluid was added to the system, I could not bleed the system out. The system also began to build an excessive amount of pressure in the reservoir. The p/s made more noise than the motor and the brake pedal pulsated. I removed the belt and discovered in and out movement when I moved the pulley. I found out the new upgraded pump was 1300. 00 like I have seen in some posts. I found a post from Jan. 2012 that had listed the part numbers for his pump upgrade. I was able to use those numbers and purchased the factory parts online for less than half. I also changed every p/s line on the truck. Truck steers great now.
Funny part was I not having any power steering pump issues until I worked on it. My hydraulic filter also required 5/8 hose on the return side instead of 1/2 hose like the post I found, not sure if the trucks were the same year.
I thought some people would enjoy seeing the difference in the pumps. I have seen some asking about but no pics.
