Today is the day I step back, look around and see what I have- and have done. What am I thankful for? I hope everyone, even though there may be challenges, are able to give thanks for something. I know in my world, I don't have to look far to be grateful. For health, family, and for how the good lord provides.

And a FINE ONE!!!! Oo. it is. Im thankful because I can WALK without the cane to the barn AGAIN!!!! and didn't bust my fanny doing it and brought back the eggs and milk and not one egg broken or one drop of milk spilled. It may not seem like much to some but its the BEST PART of my Day!!!! to see this. I DONT KNOW FOR SURE BUT I THINK WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A WHITE HOLIDAY SEASON

Hey BIG, glad to hear your getting around, sounds like your progessing well. Lots of people would be sitting around feeling sorry for themselves, its inspirational to hear someone with the drive and the "want to" to get back at it!

We just got done with dinner, had to eat early as I have to work tonight. Its tough bieng the bread winner sometimes . Im not complaining, in this day and age Im happy to have as good a job as Ive got. Considering what they pay me, sometimes I actrually feel guilty :-laf. As soon as the swelling in my gut goes down from dinner, Im taking the boys out on the wheelers for a few hours and enjoy the sunshine and 60 degree temps

I did feel sorry for myself but the wife had that last about 5 minutes SHE AND THE FAMILY are my inspiration, Like you I worked on MANY a holiday my Job was a 24/7/365 kind of job, but knew that going in. All the hard work YOU are doing will be lost in the past when its YOUR TURN to RETIRE someday. Surrounded by friends old and new and family make the work at hand MORE THAN WORTH ANY INCONVIENCE.

Getting ready to carv 'er up. This is one of my favorite tools. The sticker says "MADE IN USA" and "BUY AMERICAN" I got it in 1985 as a gift from work. That's a whole story in itself, but I was only 17 at the time. I put it away. I knew I'd use it someday.

I attempt to be the MAN and do the Bird Carving but with 6 turkeys to cave the wife gets in a hurry and takes care of the knife chores. And then brings it to the 3 tables. Its been snowing for the last 2 days on and off last nite it got down to 18* today its 30* so its plenty COOL enough. The group is out terrorising the mules they are plowing and riding the sleigh and us smart ones are watching the festivities from INSIDE the house. :-laf, Actually I did to much this AM getting the drive cleared so the cars could get in and did the chores in the barn my leg is kind of hurting.
