I have recently ordered a set of KYB Excel G Shocks (front and rear) along with a KYB steering stabilizer. My question after reading several forum topics is this>>>> Are they the correct shock for a 3500 RAM? Initial inspection denotes that they are considerably smaller in diameter than the OEM. The steering stabilizer did not come provisioned with the correct mounting hardware on the linkage end (returning). Most of the forum topics say if you put KYB on it to use the Monomax. Has anyone put the Excel G on their ride? My truck doesn't have any aftermarket suspension, totally stock. I find it inconvenient that I have to return these after several parts stores said they were "recommended OEM replacement" which I find hard to believe. They look like OEM replacement for a T100 Toyota not a RAM 3500 Dually.
Am I being to critical of the diameter?
Any insight that won't empty my wallet would be greatly appreciated.
