I had no complaints about the Dmax's ride and towing ability. I tow a 12,000 # trailer and the Allison transmission worked perfectly. GM replaced all the injectors at 65,000 miles. The needed replacing again at 95,000 miles. The bill was quoted at $5000. 00. I went around with the dealer and GM customer service at pain $2600. 00. There were further pending problems so I decided to get while the getting was good. My 03 had fold down flat rear seats where our dog rode. The new chevys didn't and the Mega Cab did.

The trucks fit an finish is excellent, like the ride, like the gismo's, and the extended factory warranty. Concerned about the regen but will run a stock truck. Just use it for hauling the trailer anyway.

Congrat's, nice looking truck, I have had my 2012 since Oct 17th 2011, it has never been to the Dealer for anything, I as you use it for towing only, don't even think about the Regen's, just drive it and service as required, mine is and will always be stock, 20,000 miles, a fantastic tow vehicle, and zero issues

Well guess its my turn, got rid of my built on the Friday before LAYOFFS 09 Mega cab for a 12. Had her a week on Sunday and we are very happy, who knew i needed a heated steering wheel!
Bought her sight unseen, was still on a train when the deal was done. Didn't even drive her before the papers were signed, hope to god this is a good one. Dave Smith did me right for all the bad blood I had from the old one and gave me a solid # for the trade-in value on top of it.

I hope all will be well with mine.

I ordered a Snug Top Cab Hi topper a couple of weeks ago. It is the commercial version which has opening side windows and a tool box on the drivers side. Will finally have a convienant place to put all my crap. Won't do much more to it other than figure out the electronic gizmo's on the dash.

Wygate has a clone of mine... .....

Dave Smith is the way to go!

Dave smith

Why is Dave Smith the way to go? Do they have a better selection? I don't think I would want to drive that far for a truck.

Your in Oregon that's not far at all, people come from the east coast to get a Dodge from Dave Smith.

Price and selection are great, and they are very friendly and easy to work with as well.

Dave Smith can also get your vehicle delivered to your door, for not much more then the cost of you going and getting it. Friend did his this way it cost him $700 for delievery to Oregon Coast. He bought it with like 10 miles on the ticker when it got delivered.

A friend was going to buy an 04 from a dealer in Yakima, WA I told him to call Dave Smith just for fun.

About two hours later he called and thanked me. He ended up with a 05 with more options and less money.

He THOUGHT he was getting a deal in Yakima.

There is a reason they are #1 in sales.

Second truck from Dave Smith's, first one saved about 12k over east coast lots. Yea I lived in VA the first go, this time just went back to talk about my issues w/ my 09, next thing I know is new truck higher trim and a hundred bucks a month back in my pocket, as well as zero % and shorter term:) and great trade in $$$.
They had just short of 1000 new trucks to pick from as of 2 weeks ago. Hundreds of Mega cabs to drool over, when was the last time you have seen 2 on a lot, let alone #s like that.

I see a CJ7 in the background!! Oregon have many trails to run on?

Trails are OK, not what I had hoped. I much preferred your neck of the woods. Lived in the UP for 9 years and spent a good bit over the boarder in Da Soo ( Saul site Marie, CAN. ) My favorites are in the
Huron MTs west of Marquette Mi and up in the copper country.

I spent a whole summer of week ends riding trails in oregon years ago. Are you seeing more locked gates now?

Gate gate gate, as usual abuse!!! One big reason in this area was a case of teens partying in the woods, drinking... . drive down the hill, went over a ledge, daughter dies, dad is a lawyer, sues land owners, wins big big big. All land owners did was allow people to use the land as they saw fit. Father did not take responsibility for the kids abuse of the land or general laws that many teens abuse (god knows I did)
Now no one can use it as "they can't afford the liability" nor do they want it, who can blame them. Also fire is an even bigger one that closes much, falling back on money loss potential, again can't say I would be any different.
