Help with Mack ASET valve adjust

Goose-neck Hitch on 5th wheel RV

I took the jump on a new car for the Wife. She has never had a NEW car of her own choice, so for Valentines day I had the dealer deliver the Audi A3 TDI, I call it a station wagon but they call it a 5 door hatch back to the house. I was working on my International and seen the tow truck turn the corner the guy that brought it out is a regular at the club that we go to. He drove up to the house and honked the horn and Penny came out on the deck and asked the guy if he was lost? (she knows him) He told her let me look at the address NOPE!!!!! BIG SAID THIS IS THE PLACE. :-laf That girl can RUN LET ME TELL YA!!!! she sprinted to the shop about 200 yards or so, Grabbed me and pulled me back to the car. He had it unloaded and a gal from the dealership gave Penny the how's and why's and told her that there has been an added accessory for the car an Espar Heater back sprinting to me again :-laf Went to West Glacier Nat Park for the Night and came back today gets excellent milage for being new and SHE!!!! TOLD ME that it had plenty of power for the mountains. ( cause I DIDNT GET TO DRIVE HER!!!! CAR) 6 speed automatic had no problems couldn't feel it shift had to watch the RPM to know it did. Wondering about better fuel filtration? think a Cat filter would be to much??

Quite a difference from the BUTTERSCOTCH color 70 Ford Maverick 6cyl with a exhaust manifold HOLE not leak, that I found her in when I first met her

Very nice choice sir. Post some pictures up when you have a chance.

Not letting my wife read your thread however... ... . ;)

A Q7 TDI killed our Pilot at an intersection yesterday. Zero smoke. I caught up to him at the next light, opened the window and was amazed that I could barely hear the engine. Nice choice for your wife.

The Audi is a top of the line car for sure, BIG. Would love to see some pics of that engine! (And the rest of the car too if you have time) :D

If I can get IT AWAY FROM THE WIFE :-laf In reality its nothing more than a HIGH PRICED VW but the interior is really!! nice, I figured that what the hell she's worth it and its more than likely the LAST one we will get. I was surprised that it didnt cost MORE than it did. We have to drive to see our son's family and now the Daughter are both a distance away the Dodge is nice but this is WAY BETTER mileage :D We have been thinking about a new car for some time.

When the salesman and I took a ride in one he drove it out to the sales lot and got out, I said that I was wanting a diesel not a gas  he said this is a diesel!!!! I KNEW THAT!!!!!:-laf JUST KIDDIN YA  they are ultra quiet.

congrats

Congrats on the new ride! I am getting around 46 mpg every time I fill up the Passat. I plan to keep the VW until it or I kick the bucket.

I think that the EST milage was around 43 on this it could be due to the weight difference I was reading about it when we were going to Chalet in Glacier National Park and I cant remember what it was but I did think it was heavy. Its very quiet with very little road sound and even with window cracked to let in air didnt seem loud. Im sure that being in the mountains and maybe because it was new didnt help mileage any.

Nice car BIG I hope see enjoys it as much as my wife enjoyed her 2011Jetta TDI. If this is like the VW there is not much room in the engine bay for anything else nor can you hang the extra filter on the frame it will drag. LOL.

Here is another forum where you can find out information the VW‘s and Audi’s TDI.

Just remember that most of these posters are big city guys and gals and do not know what the country life is like.

The lack of room is why I had the dealer install the Espar heater!!! When I asked about it the salesmen said your going to have a voodoo doll made that looks like you and the mechanics are going to stick pins in you they HATE TO INSTALL THEM, D4L said to take some pictures of the engine!!!! you open the hood you see PLASTIC!!!!! very little of the actual motor is visible. We got a free maint deal from Audi they take care of everything except tires and brakes for the first 5 years.

I asked about the DEF fluid for the exhaust treatment they said that they will put it in  I asked what if im out on the road and need it? again they will put it in when the change the oil every 7500 miles I guess it lasts that long without running out. If im going on a trip that will exceed the 7500 miles before I get back bring it in and change the oil before you go and they will add the DEF then. I have to pay for the DEF fluid that they use the bottle is not all that big so it must use very little

Thanks for the website I will watch my Pee's and Que's on it.

Kind of weird this is the first time that I have really!!! got to sit down and read the book on the Audi one part said that the A3 doesn't use the Ad-blue and another part say's it does? Damn salesmen haven't got a clue what they are doing have to find a mechanic that I can talk to. This dealership seems to keep them LOCKED UP and away from customers. Went out to the car it has a bottle? A7 needs it but A3?????

unless you want to invest in special tools audi is not a DIY car in any sense and the dealers around here love that fact. Nice cars, over engineered and cost of ownership is HIGH.

Thanks

I haven't REALLY been able to work on anything past the HEI distributor anyway, I just never got into the electronic CAR PARTS I like to see things move and happen and have NO PROBLEM fixing that kind of caveman technology. The wife didnt come out and say she wanted a NEW car it was I felt bad (IN A WAY) That she drove a 4x4 truck, at Christmas she came to a party that I was already at and she got out of her 4x4 with a evening dress that when she slid out of the truck the dress became a turtle neck, neck warmer not to elegant . To my surprise!!!!!!!!!! she was NOT wearing any drawers Oo. and I was VERY GLAD that I had a guitar in front of me for the rest of the evening  So the cost is not to be unexpected.

BUT THE NO DRAWERS are STILL!!!! ON MY TO SEE BUCKET LIST ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!! :D

Pervert BIG ;)

Damn man... . That was kind of romantic. Don't ya know this site is about stinky fumes, brashness, guns and hot too?

As noted above, I will not let my wife anywhere near this thread.

Am interested in pic's too. Not of the drawers, but of the car... .

I will see what I can do in the next few days. I went to the hospital to pick up some meds and take MIL to an appointment and I have felt like I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER from that time on, been fighting it off for a day or two but its getting stronger than the immune system I think.

Damn Hospital with all those SICK PEOPLE IN IT!!!!!
