Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) No brakes, vacuum pump out?

On my 99 I was trying to pull my plow truck out of a ditch and lost the brakes. Is it the vacuum pump or something else? Thanks for any help.

Your truck has a hydroboost set up. No vacuum is used. Do you still have power steering?

Are you leaking fluid anywhere, maybe you had a brake line blow out or a seal in the master cylinder.

Yes I have power steering. The truck was sliding down the hill and the wife thought she could make the truck stop sliding if she pushed harder on the pedal, then she lost brakes.
