So you went from a 3500 Cab Chassis dually to 19. 5 SRW? Or am I missing something?

Yes it was a dually.

The dually's have a 6" front wheel spacer. Having a 1" difference wheel back spacing by going to 19. 5's probably isn't going to have any ill effects on the wheel bearings. The dually is rated for a heavier load with those 6" wheel spacers as well. I can't foresee any longevity issues arising from a different wider wheel offset.

Well I'm going to get the wheels and tires... it's gonna take a couple weeks to get them, but I'l post back pics and impressions when I do. Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Plan on it riding ruff if your running empty. . Don't kid yourself. . that is my Fathers biggest complaint with his 19. 5 on his 95 3/4 He runs maybe 60 psi... but tire life is WOW

Actually I have an appointment to get them balanced and installed on my truck at the same time the front end alignement is done on next Thursday... I'll post some pics then.

It'll take me awhile to guve some feedback on how they handle, but I'll be sure to update.

I DO have an alignment question regarding the offset of these wheels. As they will stick out an extra 1. 5" or so, this wil increase the "scrub radius" of the tires, and my understanding is that I should INCREASE toe by about 5* to compensate. Everything else stays the same, right?? TIA

I have 19. 5" on my 3500 dually... at just over 90K miles I changed the tires out for new tires... my wheels are steel and have not been off the truck since they were installed many miles ago... I installed new tires... cleaned up the studs. . put a new front end under the truck and I assume am good for another 90K miles... Like Lorenz, about all my truck does is tow a 15K lb trailer... mine's a 5er... . I used these wheels on all my trucks... I've been very pleased with the additional level of load capacity and the high mileage... .

Dam... took the truck in for its first ever front end alignement to a top shop. While Mike did manage to bring the toe in back to where it belonged (thus partly expaliniung the uneven wear I was experiencing on the right outside tire), he ALSO found slightly excessive play in both the wheel bearings and the balljoints. SOOOOOOOO... instead of mounting the Rickson 19. 5 wheels, I decided to wait until later this fall, early winter and I am going to put Carli balljoints on as well as a free spin kit (still have to decide between the DynaTrac and the Yukon) and keep wearing the 17" Nittos until they are gone. . The Rickson forged aluminum wheels ARE a beutiful set-up though-- can't wait to get them on!!! Hoping to get it all done in November, after Fall chores are done. Will update only then.
